Building Regulations (N Ireland) - Technical Booklets G and G1
Technical Booklets G and G1 cover sound containment, and although specific acoustic performance requirements for door assemblies are not given, reference is made to the requirement for a minimum 30 minute fire-rated door between a dwelling and stairway or passage.
The Lorient solutions given throughout this website will provide suitable solutions to meet these requirements, and will give the benefit of acoustic containment too, without adding additional seals to be fitted.
